Candy lip stick

My friend and I love this shade of soft pink lip stick. It is different from everyday gloss, but still fresh yet not over the top. We wore 'retro pink' lips to the black and white event and have continued to use it for special occasions.

I love these cute little dainty earrings from Tiffany's. They are very classy, yet are everyday, wearable, and youthful. I plan to put these on my every expanding wish list...

Raison Dêtre: Reason for Existence

This year for a literature class we read many different classic novels, American and otherwise, and in one of them the concept of Raison D'etre was mentioned. I believe it was in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, but I can't be sure. Raison D'etre is the common French phrase meaning "reason for existence". It strikes me because it is something unique to everyone, yet commonplace for all. It is an individual's life purpose. Everyone has one,yet many struggle to find it. So, I decided to coin this blog with the French phrase. I admire and love fashion and the arts because for many, they provide creative outlets; for some they are the Raison D'etre. For others, fashion is the accompanist to a life journey in search of Raison D'etre, but still as savored and lovely. Enjoy!
